Welcome, Vancouver religion-free friends!

Founded

Meet other local, ex-religious, atheists, and agnostics to discuss how the rejection of dogma has affected our lives.

The purpose is just to have "coffee" and talk to each other about what it is like to have left Christianity or any other faith.

Come to meet other individuals who were enlightened enough to see through the lies of religion.

Because of the nature of this group, devotees of any faith, such as Christianity, are asked not to join.

People who have left any belief system such as Judaism or Islam are more than welcome; particularly, because the three major religions stem from Abraham and the Old Testament.

If you are not an ex-religious but wish to socialize with other free-thinkers, feel free to join us as well. Your insight can be really helpful to somebody who just walked away from a cult.

Yep, non-theist=atheist. However, when theists keep telling you that atheism is another belief system, hitting them with the non-theist "title" makes them pause a moment :) It seems the prefix "non" is easier to understand... or it's just more confusing because it has a more immediate negative connotation... I dunno. I just like it.

I was raised Mormon (LDS). I was very devoted for quiet a long time. It took me 3 years to realize what that was all about after spending 15 years inside.... today I am still struggling with what had happened to my past.

You realize atheist means non-theist, right? Or are you just trying to be different? :P Either way hope to see you at a meeting soon!

Born an atheist, like everyone, and have been "invited" to various religious gatherings by friends all my life. I've never been able to buy into what they were selling... and selling it is. Collection plates and all. Now, it'll be nice to get toge

To create a balance. There is too much religion around me and not enough sense.

Life brings you to a place where you review where you've come from in order to make decisions about your future. Where I've come from has been suffocating and oppressive on many different levels and this adherence to an organized religion and a blind
